In 2009, the annual Daytime Emmy Awards show scrambled to find a sponor when the major networks suddenly pulled out of airing this year's presentation.

Oh, the drama!

But here's the happy ending — the CW Television Network announced it would telecast the 36th annual presentation on August 30th, 2009 live from Los Angeles at 8PM ET, hosted byUgly Betty villainess, Vanessa Williams.

Nominations were announced on May 14th, 2009.
