On the New York side, Route 185 will be closed three hours before the blast, but public viewing areas will be set up at the village pier in Port Henry and at the Bulwagga Bay campground in Moriah.
On the Vermont side, there are no public viewing sites. But people can fend for themselves along Route 125. Traffic will be one-way only from south to north along 125 and east to west on Route 17
