Morgan Harrington update: Remains found on farm may be those of missing Virginia Tech studentOn Tuesday morning, Anchorage Farm owner, David Bass discovered skeletal remains on his property while riding his tractor. Police now believe they may be those of missing Virginia Tech student, Morgan Harrington.

Morgan, 20, disappeared in October after stepping outside a Metallica concert to smoke a cigarette. She left some of her belongings inside and was not allowed to regain access to the venue.

Bass told the Associated Press that he was feeding his cattle when he “…looked down and saw what looked like a human skull.” According to Fox News, Bass told WTVR that “…my first thought was that it was Morgan Harrington.”

State Superintendent Steve Flaherty told Fox News that an autopsy will be conducted to definitively identify the remains. He also said there is no “readily available access to the area where the remains were found.”
