Jimmy Snyder was well-known for introducing gambling into sports and pop culture, started off his professional TV career as a gambling expert, but got involved into different kind of odds when he was offered the position as a sports analyst on CBS show “NFL Today”, which he gladly accepted but during a live NFL show his racial comments got him fired from his job. He commented about African American athletes.
He said “Black athletes are bred to be better sportsmen and to prove this we have to go all the way back to the time of civil war when owners of slaves breed their big woman so that they could have a big black child.”
Although Jimmy the Greek apologized for his comments later but of no use. He died of on 21th April, 1996 due to heart attack.
