Sylvester Pemberton | sylvester pemberton, jsa, al pratt

jsa, al pratt, courtney whitmore, wesley dodds, alan scott With all the buzz that "Absolute Justice" has created since the announcement of its existence, there really is no need of another article for the upcomingSmallville TV event. Still, we're here to do our job and bring you the official preview of what's in store for Clark tonight.

You've probably seen all the sneak peeks and trailers and photos released by the CW for "Absolute Justice," but here's the story anyway. The gang encounters a man named Sylvester Pemberton, and he asks them for help. As usual, they won't be able to refuse him that easily.

Chloe (Allison Mack) is the first to be approached, and Pemberton tells her that he knows about her team of superheroes. She agrees to meet him, but before he can fully identify himself, trouble interferes. He's attacked and killed by Icicle (guest star Wesley Macinnes).

Never the type to leave business unfinished, Chloe accompanies Clark on their investigation. He's led to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America, where he finally comes face-to-face with Nelson AKA Dr. Fate (guest star Brent Stait), Carter Hall AKA Hawkman (guest star Michael Shanks) and Courtney AKA Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin).

While the female force of the trio is adamant at finding the killer, the other two remain reluctant to resume their superhero duties. Because of that, it will indeed be up to Clark and his own team to make things work.

He joins John Jones (guest star Phil Morris), Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) and Chloe to help the JSA and stop Icicle. They need to catch him in time, before he succeeds in killing yet another member of the group.

While Clark's busy with his JSA problems, Lois (Erica Durance) has business of her own to take care of. She receives a mysterious package from an agency called Checkmate, which as we know is run by Amanda Waller (guest star Pam Grier).

The more she's drawn into the unknown, the more trouble she gets in. It's exactly what we expect of her: classic, nosy Lois.

Below is one of the trailers for the Smallville epic-sode, but you've probably seen it already anyway. It's still worth another look though.
