To assemble the two models, the Audi works with Indomobil and PT Garuda MataramMotor. Audi A4 assembled in Indonesia using mesin1, 8-liter TFSI and A6 with a 2.0liter TFSI engine. The composition of the assembled model is 2,000 units A4 and A6rest. Both models are marketed to consumers in Indonesia.
Audi wanted to accelerate the pace of ASEAN. "After doing the same thing in Chinaand India, now we find Audi assembles partners in Indonesia," said Frank Dreves,member of the Board of Management of Audi AG Production.
He explains, Audi's decision was based on Indonesia's economic growth the highest inASEAN. "We want to contribute to this growth,"said Dreves. For that, Audi will addsales and service network in Indonesia.
It seems that Audi did not want to miss an opportunity, especially in the luxury carmarket. It is estimated that growth in the luxury car segment in Indonesia will be more than doubled in five years.
